Those that know about the Gallery have called it one of the few channels that are honourable. We, in the gallery, do not prescribe to duping or begging (which is vewy, vewy bad). The only way to stop such actions have been the necessary SQUELCH...which I am absolutely in love with. The squelch is a wonderful thing that stops you from receiving the loser's...I mean...squelchy's messages. This is handy when a spammer comes into the gallery to do what all spammers do...the lamers. Also handy whenever a known cheater has come in...they get tired of talking to themselves and eventually leave...the way you know is when you lose your lovely big red X all of a sudden. >)

The gallery is there for rogues and only rogues hence the name Rogues Gallery. Rogues meet there to set up new games, check out who is there, and mostly, just catch up with people you haven't seen in a while and talk about schtuff. It is a wonderful place to learn about Spleems (ask X-Cutioner about that one...lol), find out who is an "item" at the moment, see who has gone up in levels, and slam any losers that come in that deserve it. The bar is always open, the pool is warm, the hot tub is steamin', the dance floor is rockin', and the conversation...though strange at times...is always stimulating. Though be prepared to be lost at times cause boy...do the comments fly at times. My advice...take up speed reading as fast as you can...I hear there is an infomercial out there on it...8 �

Side Note: The Gallery is no more for many of us. When I first wrote this page long, long ago the Gallery was what I said it was. But people moved on, people strayed, and eventually those that strove to tear it down took it over. No big deal since those of us that have kept in contact for the 17 or so months hang out in a private channel that has replaced the Gallery for us. StarCraft has now taken our lives over but Diablo still holds a place in our hearts.

A lot of friendships had been formed into true meaningful relationships in the Gallery. Others had been broken. Things changed as does life. Whatever happens to that group of people who frequented the Gallery in its glory days I know they, as will I, will remember fondly the laughs, the tears, and the triumphs that we experienced while in there. The Gallery is not what it was and never will be again. But that is the nature of things. Change and growth. Hopefully the new RG will grow as well.

Some things you should learn before going into our little hell of typing and reading...some shortcuts you might say. Some of the acronyms can be confusing so here goes...

LOL - laughs out loud
ROFL - rolling on floor laughing
ROFLLAH � - my own little...ROFL like a hyena....only use it when I'm about to cry from the pain of holding it in
BRB - be right back
BBL - be back later
TTFN - ta ta for now
AFK - away from keyboard
{{{{{{{{ }}}}}}}} - used as a hug for those you are friends with when first seeing them....I like that one `-)

Some things that might be confusing about the layout of the chat are really very simple. First advice...read further so when you go into the Gallery, you don't ask about these things and get yourself squelched by accident for asking a "stupid question" some might consider.

The bars show others latency towards you...or their lag. Green is good...Yellow is okay...and Red is bad. Vewy Simple.Always use these when going into a game with someone cause if they are red to you and you are red to them...the game will SUCK because of the lag...and all players hate dying because of lag.

This tells others about your character. If you have one dot you have killed Diablo in normal mode...2 dots in Nightmare mode...& 3 dots in Hell mode which then turns you character golden...thus I am Golden cause I have killed The Big Boy in Hell mode (many a torturous time)...I love bein' a golden gal. Unless you have killed Diablo in Hell mode you will not be golden ... plain and simple

If you wanna know how to squelch a loser ... type /squelch [the person's name] and hit enter...you should get an X on your screen by their name...hee hee

What else can I say about the Gallery that would convey how much FUN it can be when you are in there...nothing but some screen shots of the chat program that has a game attached to it...I think it's called Diablo...so if you want to see some screenies...not many though...then look below.
