Let's see...ummm...I'm NOT a Web Masta...just do a great impersonation. =)
I am basically a woman from Vancouver, BC, Canada who has WAY too many pets and no life...did I say that? No...I do have a life...honest.
I finished most of my university degree at Simon Fraser University ( Marine Biology major/ Calculus minor...*smart chick here*)...but ran outta money before I could finish it...so I guess that makes me a dropout...hee hee.
I have two wonderful parents (sucking up of course in case they check out my page), a crazy younger Sista, Lisa, who is definitely my best friend, all other immediate relatives (plug for betta presents come Xmas & B-Day), and my pets. How many you ask? Well let me tell you the ways.
First there was my Arab horse, Xanadu, who moved to a new stable and introduced me to my other Arab, Duke, where I fell in love with my Doberman cross, Jessi, from the stable's Dobe.
Jessi found my cat, Kit Kat, in a ditch and brought her home one day who were from some people across the way that owned my next dog, T'Neeka, a..ack...Pit Bull/Dalmatian cross. They couldn't handle her, since they let her go wild, and I agreed to take her - the best guarddog around (scares the SHIT outta strangers when she's, to say the least, pissed off at them).
I moved to a new place with my own barn so I bought 2 kittens, Tabatha & Jordan, as barn cats - yah right...they sleep on my bed with me along with the dogs and Kit Kat (so I luv animals - shoot me).
Once there, I acquired 3 other horses - an Arab/Pinto called Valentine; a TB called Harley (after Harley Davidson I like to think); & an Appy/TB called Excellerator. That finally brought the total to...let me count my fingers...10 pets...though I guess I should count my 2 birds also so then 12 is the final tally...phew!
I have a big, loving heart - and a mind of a sucka - hence all the animals that frequent my place.
I'm 29...no 25...no 23 (yeah..that shades off a few years) and am single -and loving it!!!
For those astrologers out there I'm an Aries/Taurus...ya right on the cusp...who is a dog according to the chinese year chart...whatever that means. I'm a short (5'4"...a little shit from a family of giants...must have come from the milkman) buffed brunette with green eyes...and that's all you'll get from me. NO PICS!!!! I don't take a good picture so at least I won't have to feel embarrassed seeing my mug up here...and you should use your imagination more often anyways.
I love animals (as you read earlier), music, reading (bookworm here), skiing/snowboarding, boating, cycling, basketball (Yeah BULLS), computer gaming, hiking up Everest, swimming with Great White Sharks, flying the space shuttle, wrestling alligators, building pyramids in Egypt, designing crop circles, toppling Stonehenge, and any mischief I can get myself into.
My fave books & authors are
Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy - The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills, The Last Enchantment
Carl Sagan's Contact -I got this book when it first came out...way before the movie, which is great of course =)
Stephen R Lawhead's The Pendragon Cycle - Taliesin, Merlin, Arthur
David Eddings' The Elenium - The Diamond Throne, The Ruby Knight, The Sapphire Rose & The Tamuli - Domes of Fire, The Shining Ones, The Hidden City
John Varley's Gaean Trilogy - Titan, Wizard, Demon
Everything by Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, TS Eliot, Dylan Thomas, William Butler Yeats
If you are so inclined...check these out...all are scifi/fantasy but hey...real life sucks sometimes and you need a break from it..doncha? The only one I would warn you about is the Gaean Trilogy...there are acts of lesbianism in the books and if that sorta thing offends you...don't read it...though you should keep an opened mind always and experience as much as you can (I'm not saying go out and do a homosexual act if you are hetero but just keep an opened mind when reading about stuff that might offend you)
My fave musical choices involve everything...and I mean everything...except country and jazz. I mostly listen to alternative (the truer form - not the popped up version you hear on the radio), classical music, old shit from when I was a wee lass (late 60's and 70's - except disco...ack), and anything else I can get my hands on.
As I said earlier, I'm from Vancouver - Lotus Land.Vancouver is the most awesome place to live...if you can afford it. You can ski during the summer and suntan during the winter. The seasons are all there - Spring's rain, Summer's heat, Fall's colours, and Winter's rain...sometimes snow though rarely. There are so many things to do there for free and so many places to see ( like Reck Beach - our nude beach...tee hee ) that you never get bored. If you ever come to Canada and want to visit the best place in this little ole country of ours (rated #1 to live in by UN) come to Vancouver.
That's all I can think of right now but if you know me and have a few suggestions please hesitate to tell me...ya know I hate criticism.
